I swear, very soon I will have non-grocery news...North Wales is the last TJ's store we'll be opening for a while (I hope). The new murals will be in my mural gallery as soon as I am able to upload the files, hopefully by early next week.

Although you're welcome to visit them in person, I have posted some of the new signs from Brooklyn. Most are in "signs" ( the first few are the most recent), the rest are under "commercial murals" and they're from slide 22 on. Enjoy!

It's been a long time coming, but yesterday, in the wee hours of the night, we finished the last of the signs for today's Grand Opening. Since I often delude myself as to the actual purpose of my job, seeing all the customers reminded me that, yes, I paint signs for a grocery store, and yes, more people are interested in the price of avocados than the forty-foot vegetable mural. sigh. Either way, I am lucky to have a job, and even luckier to have a job "doing what I love" as everyone tells me, so I'll shut my yapper. Oh, except to point out that our signs made it into a few blogs, and I make an appearance as an unidentified crew member wielding a camera...I should post the photo I took of her, two strangers with photos of one another, out there for the world to see.

Here is a recent video creation that is posted here for the participants of LES Gladiators . (If you want a DVD of it, email me) I've changed my mind about taking it down, because it seems harmless enough I suppose, so it will remain here, in "news", until it gets buried in the archives. This video includes a Rage Against the Machine song and therefore should not be viewed by children who have not heard swear words or angry rock music.
We're at the one-month countdown to the new Trader Joe's, and will be making an object a day if we want to get done in time. Good thing I have endless enthusiasm for painting dozens and dozens...and dozens of grocery products. Oh wait, I don't have endless enthusiasm for that...

Here's a little something to take your mind off this sticky, steamy summer! The new mjb.com will be there for you when you encounter yet another toss-and-turn night and need to inter-web yourself to sleep.
Many Thanks to Mark, who, along with assembling this site has inspired me to get up early and run again...which I'm not going to do but have been inspired to do...those are two very different things.
(good bye old skool mjb.com)
